Throughout his career, the SPBC experienced significant growth. While numerical growth required the addition of two additional worship services, 6 new staff positions and eventually a new building, Ed is more pleased with the church’s increased impact on the local community and beyond. During his tenure the church planted a church, began two Satellite Sites, built a new sanctuary and started numerous community ministries. While these ministries made a great impact on the lives of people, Ed says, “I read once that leadership is influence. I believe that the church will have it’s greatest impact, not through programs or ministries, but as the individuals in that congregation use their gifts to impact the people they are with every single day. That’s why we focused so heavily on developing leaders who would take their faith into the workplace, school, etc.”

In 2014 Ed began his journey with Mountain River Physical Therapy, where he serves as the CEO. His doctorate thesis was focused on helping business leaders integrate their spiritual development with their workplace leadership. He is passionate about helping leaders in the church and workplace lead in a way that honors ethical core values and impacts people and communities in a positive way.

Ed has been active in the community as well as serving on numerous boards and committees over the years.
